American Pie actress Tara Reid has called off her May wedding to German businessman
Michael Axtmann. The actress and the entrepreneur announced their engagement
earlier this year after a whirlwind romance and the pair had planned to tie
the knot on May 22nd. However a statement released on Tara’s behalf this
week read: “Tara Reid has confirmed that she will not be moving forward
with her May 22 nuptials.” Fans of the 34-year-old actress on Facebook
reported earlier in the week that she had changed her relationship status on
the social networking site from “engaged” to “single”
sparking widespread speculation that all was not well with the blossoming Reid/Axtmann
romance. Things appear to have taken a turn for the worse very quickly with
Tara gushing, as recently as 4 weeks ago, about her forthcoming nuptials. The
actress had chosen Rani Totman to design her wedding dress and explained she
was going for the Cinderella look since, as she said, it’s the only day
you get away with dressing up as a princess. Tara also had her arrangements
set for the wedding reception and planned to treat guests to a “wonderland”
venue. Whatever is was she had in mind, we’re not likely to know as the
nuptials have been cancelled following the announcement from the actress.
